        Tradisi mudik menjelang hari kemenangan Idul Fitri bukan hanya dilakukan umat Muslim, tetapi juga sebagian besar masyarakat Indonesia. Istilah "mudik" sendiri berasal dari singkatan "mulih dilik" yang artinya pulang sebentar. Menurut KBBI, mudik adalah pulang ke kampung halaman. Tradisi ini sudah dikenal sejak tahun 1970-an, ketika banyak orang bertransmigrasi ke kota besar seperti Jakarta untuk mencari penghidupan yang lebih baik. Penulis mewawancarai beberapa warga desa Kalibangkang,“Saya merasa begitu bersyukur bisa merayakan Idul Fitri tahun ini bersama keluarga dan tetangga. Suasana sholat hari ini begitu syahdu, mengingatkan kita akan pentingnya kebersamaan dalam beribadah.”. "Benar sekali. Ini adalah momen yang sangat istimewa bagi umat Islam di seluruh dunia."

        Pada Lebaran tahun ini, pemerintah memperkirakan jumlah pemudik mencapai 193,6 juta orang, naik sekitar 60% dari tahun sebelumnya. Pemudik ke pulau Jawa mendominasi setiap tahunnya. Di desa Kalibangkang, Kebumen, tradisi mudik diisi dengan kegiatan seperti panen gula Jawa dan beribadah. Sholat Idul Fitri di desa ini dimulai pukul 8 pagi, berbeda dengan Jakarta yang biasanya dimulai pukul 6 pagi.

      Setelah sholat, masyarakat desa ini melanjutkan dengan kegiatan sehari-hari seperti panen kelapa untuk membuat gula Jawa. Sholat Idul Fitri dipimpin oleh tokoh agama setempat dan dilakukan dengan khutbah dalam bahasa Jawa, sesuai dengan budaya lokal. Tradisi ini memberikan warna dan kehangatan tersendiri bagi perayaan Idul Fitri di desa Kalibangkang, dengan nilai-nilai kebersamaan, gotong royong, dan kearifan lokal yang kental terasa.
